Conjunto Río Grande is a Norteño group formed in 1974 en San Lorenzo, Río Grande, Zacatecas, México. They were first called "Salvajes del Norte", en some time after that Los Tremendos Salvajes, recording 10 albums under that name. In 1996 they had to change it once more for legal reasons, this new name "Conjunto Río Grande" came about after a radio-contest in their native town.
